Newsletter May 2015

Dear all,

I hope everyone had a lovely Pentecost weekend and some sun this week! After some very nice days at the Dutch coast this week, I'm very happy to finally present you 3 new videos from my album launch with the wonderful piano player Frank Harrison. Here are three songs from the concert: a composition from Leonard Bernstein "Lucky to be me", a ballad from Michel Legrand "The summer knows" and a popular song from Antonio Carlos Jobim "One note Samba". With many thanks to the Jazzclub Jail and the Abbaye de Neumünster for their support and for making this possible!

Last February I had four wonderful concerts with Frank. We played in a jazzclub in Ettlingen with the amazing bass player Davide Petrocca from Stuttgart who organised this concert for us. It was a lot of fun to play in trio and hopefully we'll get the chance to do that again in the future. The other concerts were in Trier and Luxembourg. Just before our concert in Trier we got this lovely review in the Trierer Volksfreund.

On 17th April Frank came especially to Luxembourg to play a concert at the residence of the Dutch ambassador. The Dutch Embassy invited us to present our new CD which was of course very exciting. In the intimate and beautiful surroundings of the residence we presented our music to a very diverse and international audience. It was an honour and great pleasure to sing and play before such an appreciative audience.
Upcoming concerts:
This weekend I will be singing on a "multi-culti" festival in Differdange with my quartet and on 20th June I will be participating in a garden concert for a wonderful charity. The concert is organised by 9 year old Sophia Jansen who was, after seeing a television program on this organisation, very determined to raise money for the Mobile Mini Circus for Children in Afghanistan. This is the second time she's organising this together with her parents and I'm more than happy to contribute to this great cause.

My new CD "Beneath the Blue" with Frank Harrison is still available on my website, on iTunes and on CD Baby. Here you can listen to a selection of songs from the album: Beneath the Blue op Soundcloud. And you can also find us on Spotify now!

Well, wishing everyone already a very nice weekend and hope to meet again soon!

Lots of greetings,
Edith

No matter if some one searches for his vital thing, therefore he/she wishes to be available that in detail, therefore that thing is maintained over here.
